+1 for elemental designs. . .no middle man = REALLY good prices on BA equipment. (1200W amp + 4 six" subs = ~$500)

www.edesignaudio.com

In fact, get this: 13Av2, NINe.1 and make your own box for less than $100. . .and you'll have a sub stage that's less than the cost of a 13w7 and sounds better.

i want to use the 4080 to save room in my trunk, so building a box is much of an option, even to i actually want to fiberglass my own, it doesnt look that hard.

ebay. Seriously buy the JL on the bay and save loads of cash! Why take a chance on other brands?

I was in the same perdicament and was looking at another brands. Some subs were $80, $100 and as high as $200. But I decided to just get the JL for a little more and be done with it. (I wanted to get a Soundstream RFW-10 which I could of bought for around $100) but decided against it as I do not like the quality of the new Soundstream.

I just bought a JL 10w6v2 for $220 and it was brand new and arrived in ~5 days.

I did it and IMO my box is stronger than the 4080 box since the majority of it is MDF. Only ended up spending ~$100 in supplies and a weekend of my time

If you can't afford what you really want, why not save for another month or two or three? Just gotta have it right now. I'd rather wait a couple of months and be happy for years instead of settling for something else.

Same thing with cars. "I can get the base model right now. Why wait a few months and get something fully loaded?"
