I basically used the same DIY guides for removing the radio just to get to that area. I was also installing a Parrot BT 3200LS.

I dont have a pic with the nav, sorry.. but underneath the felt cover is a RAM ball mount. I can mount anything I please there. Usually its my phone or PDA with a very short RAM extension. When I get ready to road trip, I throw on the slightly longer RAM arm and mount the GPS. I ran USB and power to the cubby while I was in there. Also, I made a cardboard template of the shape of the cubby, then cut a small piece of wood, painted it black and mounted it to the bottom of the cubby (cant be seen) I can attach any mount I want without removing the dash again.
