I have had the Z1 for a while now. The startup takes forever, the ipod interface lags, and the navi is not the best. For navi, I think the Garmin based ones are the best. You can rip regular (non-MP3) CDs onto the HDD, but it takes a while, and you basically have to listen to that CD while you are ripping it.

I learned the hard way how to get around in SD, now i can do it with my eyes closed

However, someone was telling me there's a law you can't have anything suctioned cupped to your windsheild (e.g. GPS units). Don't know if it's a SD law or Cali law. I'd never heard of it.
