I'm tired of getting lost...
...in San Diego. This place is confusing as fack!
Some background info on my car:
- 2006 G35 Coupe Base Model
- No OEM Navi
- Non OEM Bose System
- Not Satellite radio ready
What I want:
- A good navigation system that won't get me lost -___-
- Ability to listen to CD's while using the Navi DVD
- Ability to watch DVD's while not in Park (from what I've read I can ground it so that it'll always be able to play)
- User friendly (Some of the HU's I see people with are confusing as fack!)
- 6.5"+ Touch Screen
- Retain stock steering wheel controls
- iPod compatible
What I need (that I know of):
JDM Double Din Finisher
JDM A/C Controller
Budget:
JDM DD Finisher & A/C Controls + Install aside, I'd like to spend no more than ~$800
*Am I kidding myself with that low of a budget?
What do you guys suggest as far as head units go? What accessories will I need to retain the stock steering wheel controls, integrate my iPod, and have Bluetooth?

With your budget, nothing from Alpine would work.
Pioneer has the Avic-D3 which has a wonderful ipod/bluetooth system, but it is only a 6.1" screen. Price on this is about $799.
Kenwood had a DNX-5120 which you may be able to get around your budget price. These retail for about $999. Once again, 6.1" screen, just like the Pioneer.
Eclipse units retail for over $1000 so I would rule those out based on your budget. Their ipod/bluetooth systems suck.
Just to let you know, you will need a steering wheel interface adapter if you would like to retain your steering wheel controls. PAC makes these pieces. They retail for about $75.

And the D3 goes for $699.99 on the Best Buy website. I'm sure I can find it for $700 somewhere local if I pay cash.
