im looking for a double din head unit that plays nice with the ipod and does video etc. NO NAVIGATION i aleady have nav so i dont need it in the double din unit.

from doing research the only thing that seemed to come up was alpine, and eclipse, etc.

i ran into this sony unit and i thought it looked pretty cool and it had a relly nice screen so i wanted to ask has anyone ever seen a setup with this sony headunit?

It was better reviewed then the Alpine IVA-W205 and the screen is much more on par with the Alpine IVA-w505

just wanted to get everyones input on this unit and maybe you guys can tell me about the quality of sony car audio in general.

 

yeah the iva-w505 is the ish.. should roll with that...

 

lol yea i know but its also double the price of the W205 and the sony unit...... and honestly it doesnt even do anything diffrent from the w205 all it is is an OS update. if the sony gives the same functionality and is a quality product not to mention the OS seems on par with the W505...i would go with the sony so id love to ehar from anywone that has used or seen this unit before

 

^^^ well... the 505 is a 7" screen as opposed to the 6.5" on the 205 and it does have a higher quality screen. It also supports playback of videos from your Ipod.
