Stock Bose System
Stock Bose System
I have a 03 G35 couple with the Bose system.....and what my friend, who's a tech for Infiniti warned me about, happened.....the CD changer "ate" my CD. I can't get my CD out of there and I get some "error" message when I put it in CD mode. My friend tells me that he sees that all the time with the 03's stock system. (and he reminds me that i paid $40k for a car to have a defective stereo system).
Has anyone else had that problem??
Also, I heard that the 04 Bose system has improved significantly, including faster changing time between CDs.. However, I can't get the dealer to put in a 04 system (even though it's supposed to not have the CD getting stuck defect)

Re: Stock Bose System
I have a 2 week old 04 G35 coupe with the premium Bose. I can't comment on the CD changer performance except that it hasn't given me any trouble. The sound of the system however (especially the radio) leaves a lot to be deisred and was well below my expectations. So much so that I sunk 2k into installing new speakers, wiring, and amp just after the first week of ownership. Now the sound is just about where I want it :-)
Re: Stock Bose System
cheaper (esp. memorex) burned discs esp. those with labels have reportedly been getting stuck and "eaten".
Just don't put lables on your CD-R/RW discs.
