I agree...miscommunication. I took no offense and I did not send any your way.
I just definately don't want to be thought of as someone who isn't being honest. When I post info I just want people to trust what I am saying and not disregard the info.
My wires are attached directly to the main power bundle of the car under the carpet between the seat and door sill. Will take pictures soon.

Great job NYC! Very very impressive. I've never seen a FYI with so much detail and pictures. Great job!
Also, do you still get the alternator whine? If so, it's definitely a grounding issue. Other than just grounding the amps and the capacitors direclty, you should have a shield or ground wir run along any of the wires that are carrying a signal. Usually RCA's are pretty good at shielding becuase of the way they are constructed with an outside/inside wire, but if you just have two wires side by side, you might consider some sort of shield or ground to run along them.
I had some serious problems with alternator whining with several of my previous installations. It's all about grounding anywhere and everywhere and along signals. I hope that will help, becuase I can't stand alternator whining. :-)
