06 Stock system size/number of speakers?

Can someone please give me the info regarding the number of speaker and the size of each speaker of my system (its the stock NOT bose system in my 06 6spd g35)

Im looking to switch to new speakers and will be getting a DD headunit...any recommendations for speakers and subwoofers would be very helpful too

So 2 fronts and 2 backs, didnt you also forget about the tweeters?

Here's what Al-eds.com says about my 06 G35, is this accurate?

Location / Size / Depth
Front Speaker 6.5 2.8
Front Tweeter 1 1
Rear Speaker 6X9 3.5
Rear Speaker 4 4

No, I didn't forget about the tweeters. That's what I meant by component speakers.

Al-Eds gave you inaccurate information.

6x9 you have to do custom work not worth the trouble just go componet and add an extra set of tweeters 6 inches away from the speaker(s) you want more VOICE from or a sub if you want BASS

well it all depends on your wallet size

I know infinity kappas are good and so are alpines type Rs

as for tweeters you put them 6 inches away from the speaker for best preformance but if you have component speakers then there just for extra sound if you install them

i think you can get a good set for around $500 at crutchfeild for componets and you can add an amp for better sound

I hear Boston Pro stuff is really nice. ~$600/pair

Then again, almost anything is better than stock!

Anyone know what the 06x sedan has front/rear? I assume it's 6.5" component up front and 6.5" in the rear.

Eeek, 600 for a pair of Pro's? I'd look for something else. For that amount of money you can probably get some Helix comps.

You can get a pair of Boston Pro's for about 300 new on ebay or other websites. I just bought a pair but haven't had the time to install them yet. I was going to go with Focal K2 but decided to save a few hundred.

Those K2's are very nice...the 165 V2's are also great comps. I've listened to a setup with Utopia Be's and wow, can't compare any of the other Focal comps to these, lol.
