running 2guage power wire from bat thru firewall

running 2guage power wire from bat thru firewall

i want to rerun my power wire down the passenger side where the battery is, does anyone know of a location that i can stick a 2guage wire thru the firewall into my door sill and run it into my trunk? i really do not wanna drill holes...

I dont think you can run 2 gauge under the carpet without it being lumpy. What kind of amps are you using? Do you know what your total current draw is?

You will have to drill a hole,I did mine beside the battery and ran 0 gauge with no lumps.

im running it down the door sill, it will fit, im running 2 amps, jl 300/4 and jl 500/1, total draw 90amps... 2 guage main power to a distro block and then two 4 guage wires going into my amps...

just dont know of a good place to drill... dont wanna drill thru the wrong place, what size drill bit did you use for a 2gauge wire?

use the factory grommet thats starring right at you near the battery. Take of the battery casing and you will see it toward the top left of the battery casing right below the windshield... finish it off with some sealant and you'll be fine.

so that factory hole where you mentioned will fit a 2guage wire going in there?

Yea. That's how the installer I had went through. If I remember I can post a close up picture of it later.

I did mine through the grommet and used silicon to seal it. Make sure you reseal it with silicon because some idiot engineer at nissan decided the water drain should be placed directly above the grommet that allows all the electrical wires into the cabin. Still dont understand the logic on that one.
