Pioneer Z3 or kenwood Dnx8120 Answer ASAP
Wuttsup guys i need quick answers because i want to ge this hu installed tommorow...wut do you guys feel is better the pioneer Z3 or the kenwood dnx8120.. Thanks for helping me decide
im ordering my z3 today
i was having the same dilemma tho as well. I went with the z3 because the navi seems much better and the sleekness of the screen and controlls appeal more to my taste. I love how it can store 30GB of memory as well!!! thats more than my entire ipod even has on it! seems like the best bet. cant go wrong with pioneer

not trying to be a dick but....
sure the z3 navi "seems" much better but, but what you really mean is that the interface looks better. yea i might agree with you BUT, I've read alot about the software not beeing very accurate (shortest-route algorithm is poor, and I don't believe it supports points of interest or favorite places). i personally want a navi that get's me to where i need go quick and accurately. also, yea it can store 30GB of memory in its internal HDD but from what I read it doesn't rip anything but real cd's (burned CD's wont work.) But who doesn't buy a retail CD these days ???
oh yea, i forgot to mention that it doesn't come with buit-in bluetooth. the 8120 does.
anyway, the 8120 comes with navi from Garmin which is a very reputable company. it's accurate as hell and the interface really isn't that bad. **** i think it's the best navi available on any aftermarket HU. only thing that could beat it in terms of built-in navi is the Eclipse AVN6620. also, what's cool about the Kenwood DNX8120 is that although you can't store things on it's internal HDD, you have an iPod hookup that supports any iPod for audio (shows album art) and all but the iPod Touch and the iPhone for VIDEO playback! **** man, if you got a 160GB you can play alot of media through this bitch. and you got a second USB port for connections to flash drives and external HDD's. and speaking of viedo playback, the thing plays back almost any type of video format out there either through it's DVD slot or through it's external hookups. on top of all that there is no need to spend extra money/time for getting bluetooth cuz it's already got it built-in also. company by the name of Parrot did the bluetooth for this thing and it's also probably the best for aftermarket HU.
i did a lot of research before i invested all that money in my sh*t. I had it down to 4 HU's: the Kenwood DNX8120, Pioneer Z3, Eclipse AVN6620 and the Alpine W505. IMO nothing beats the 8120 as a multimedia/navi HU.

after watching this review on youtube...I must have this dnx8120
It's 10 mins long but shows most of the features of the unit. I liked how he bypassed the parking wire lol.

i would say z2 its cheaper and u can update the z2 into a z3. it can b bypassed and it does support poi and favorite places. you can record music onto the hdd. it doesnt have to b an original cd,it can b a cr-r or cd-rw as long as its not in mp3 format..
i have the z2 and love it..
