the install looks good!

how do you like the Pioneer unit so far?
cant wait till the updated dvd comes out in '05! the current map data is marginal, at best otherwise the unit gets an A from me

Re: My AVIC-N1 double-din conversion

Ok I just picked up my AVIC-N1 this afternoon!

Paid $650.00 includes everything you listed and voice recognition kit...and also a pioneer 6 disc changer! The system is only a year old and used only a few times...The DDin...Was about $350.00 or so...All I need now is someone "locally" like "DAVID" who can help me with the install?

NICE JOB...Will post pics once it's up and running...How's are stock SUBWOOFER for the 5.1 surround...

Also: How much am I looking at for the center channel and where should I put it?

Thanks guys!

If anyone can help me out locally...please PM me...

THANKS!

BoBs =)

Re: My AVIC-N1 double-din conversion

I'm posting to bring this to the front. For the scosche kit, is the OEM Amplifier Kit harness that sells for $49.00 or is it the other kit that sells for $16.00? Depending on what website you go to buy it from it appears to be a difference in the product. Interesting, so which one do I use and can I keep my stock speakers in the car even though the AVIC-N1 doesn't handle 2 ohm?

Re: My AVIC-N1 double-din conversion

yeah sorry dude but i installed mine on a non-bose system...
But i am sure it is the same type of install, the 8 speaker wires come from the N1 to the Bose Amp, and then out to the speakers. You'd also have to install the amp-power lead from the N1 probably

Can you post more pix of your setup i think it looks great. The only picture i can see is the one on the bottom of the 2nd page after it has been installed (closeup). Got any views of the entire setup from say, shift *** up to the top of the dash? gjob!
