Where to install the LOC. Keeping the stock HU

Im keeping the stock 6 disc changer HU, but i want to add my sub and amp. Where would be the easiest place to install the LOC. Iv seen the diagrams for using the bose amp/harness but i dont have that set up to work off of.

If you don't have the Bose system, your choices are to tap into the speaker wires at the rear side panel speakers or behind the radio.

What I did to keep the back of the deck less cluttered was tap it off the harness just before the rear speakers. Luckily my LOC is equiped with a remote wire, so running wires was simple and easy.

I was thinking something similar but was going to tap right before the rear speakers. But your idea sounds better. Wheres the harness located if you dont mind explaining it. I dont want to just start rippun out my interior looking for it. What kind of LOC did you use.

Unfortunately I wouldn't know where it's located on the coupe, I have a sedan. On the sedan I found it on the b-pillar just before the rear door. I'm not sure what brand LOC it is. I got it from a friend that was upgrading to a double din from his stock HU.

"the rear side panel" is that where the harness is before it branches off to the rear speakers.

I mean the rear side panel at or before the rear speakers. I don't remember where the wire harness is, so you're going to have to remove the rear side panels to find the wires coming out of the rear speakers. I think it might be easier to get the signal from behind the radio.

I used the diagrams provided by Crutchfield. Here is the link for the 2005 models.

http://www.crutchfield.com/app/Suppo...e.aspx?ifs=g35

Hope this helps. If this isn't the right format for your car, search the link, they list all of the years, etc.
