Which sub would play louder and cleaner in a coupe..

The answer to your question is.... it depends. Install is everything. I've heard L7's, not a fan of them, but if the JL is not in the proper enclosure and the L7 is, the L7 can sound better.
Provided that you have the sub in a proper enclosure, the JL will be the better choice. Any particular reason why you're limiting yourself to two companies out of the many that are out there?
The 1000/1 is fine for the W6, just set your gains properly.

the thing is i had a 12 L7 in my bmw X5 and it played very good but i kno that it would play better in a SUV than a Coupe... i heard that the W7's are good.. I never actually seen a or hear a W7 play before and most people seem to choose between the W7 and the L7 so thats why i asked...
I was considering puttin a W7 13.5 but maybe the trunk space would be 2 small and i wouldn't get to hear the its full power

I think the W6 would be a better choice. I prefer going against the norm, that's just how I am, though I am using an oldschool w6 for my setup since I got a fairly good deal on it and it's brand new (even though it's nearly 11 years old).
I'd recommend checking into the Image Dynamics ID MAX. They sound great and have plenty output and don't require much airspace, generally around 1 cu. ft. sealed with 1,000w.
From personal experience I would recommend the Soundsplinter RL-p. I used to have an 18" version in my Accord and it sounded amazing. I've heard two setups with a pair of 12's and output is crazy with about 1,000w to each sub and being in about 1.25 or 1.5 cubes sealed for each.
If you have the coin, I'd take an Aura NS-12 any day. They need only about 500 or 600w, probably about 1 cu. ft. sealed as well, but they cost a pretty penny and are hard to find since I believe production was cut on them from www.madisound.com.
I don't have personal experience with this one, but the Mach 5 IXL is supposed to be a pretty good sub as well. The older RE XXX is also great sub that can be added to the list. There's many others out there that I haven't mentioned. What I generally look for is efficiency, a sub that does not require much space and does not need alot of power to have some good amount of output, and most importantly, a sub that sounds good.

9122's are quite underrated. Power those things can handle is easily more than the 750w rms stated. I loved my TC 5200. The Eclipse SW 8200 is also a great woofer, used to have one of those as well, though it was direct from the TC buildhouse with no Eclpse bading.
