Capacitor

Hey guys I'm going to be running an Alpine Type R 10" and Alpine MRP-M500 amp. Do you think I need a capacitor? I don't want to have alternator problems down the road. Any recommendations on what capacitor to get? I was thinking a 1 farad would be just fine. But I just want to make sure to get a quality cap that actually works.

Nope. Your not running much to require a cap.

Even if your amp drew a lot of current, a cap won't do much. It's not there to patch anything up, it's meant to be installed for an addition to a good electrical...even then it's not needed.
