How Hard would this be to install?
Just wondering how hard the install would be on this? I own a 2004 G35x and I am thinking about attempting the install myself, any thoughts or input?

I should have added more info, I have a solid grasp on car knowledge. My concern is the weather and lack of garage. I will be installing outside and the warmest temp we have seen here is 32 in the past 2 weeks. I am curious as to what you guys would think an install time would be... Any special things that go along with aftermarket alarms/starters and infiniti
When I did mine, it took roughly 2 days of working at a slowish pace. I didn't have a second helping hand, so that makes it take a little longer. I would hate doing this in 32 degree weather personally. Especially if wires started to get stiff from being cold. The extras you need are a security system bypass module and a keylock module. You only need the keylock module if you do not want to run wires into the door. I actually have an extra keylock module for sale if you want to go that route.

Good info thanks! I talked to bestbuy about an install, (I don't know any local shops in town so I went Name brand) they are going to call me back tomorrow with a quote. I will let you know on the module in a few days
I was an installer for a few years, but it's been almost 10 years since I worked in that field, and I know stuff has gotten quite a bit more complicated since Y2K with antitheft devices, etc. impeding the formely straightforward installation of remote starters. I have a 2004 A/T sedan, and was thinking of putting my old Viper 800hf and 551t remote start combo on it, but wasn't sure how difficult it would be, since my skills may be a little rusty at this point. any tips or advice that might come in useful? Is there some sort of factory immobilizer I'd have to defeat? I'm also curious if the wire color chart was available anywhere, so I don't have to do it the old-fashioned way and test every wire. Thanks for any help.
if you haven't done much 12volt wiring before. DO NOT put yourself through the agony. Trust me, having done my own and helping Midnight with some of his wiring via email. He will vouche for it not being easy.
Best Buy might charge you on the high side due to it not being their product and they cannot give you a proper warranty due to unfamiliar product and they are not a dealer of the product. I'm telling you that because I've installed at a couple shops including a best buy partner and that's what I've always been told by supervisors.
As for wiring, I can get it to you feel free to send me a PM with your email and I'll scan it and send it to you

Why would you need either of these module when the factory arm/disarm also lock/unlock the doors and are in the kick panel.

Also, tapping into the switch in the door allows you to do window roll-up/roll-down assuming your system can provide a continuous pulse on the lock/unlock wires.
I apoligize to the fullest!!! It has been a hell of a three weeks since my old car got jacked and my head has been up my a**. You are correct, the wires do need to be gotten from the inside the door. I pulled paperwork on the cars I have done and it was a Camry that I did a alarm/remotestart/keyless on, not a G35. Believe I know there is a big difference on the two cars!!! I have just been wandering around in a fog at work trying to deal with the insurance company and did not get my car right. I had worked on a G35, but it was putting a sub in. As soon as I pulled the ticket for the car, the dreadful realization hit me. I need a vacation.
