My system w/pics

Hey guys,
I got a chance to install part of my system over the holiday weekend in my 6-speed coupe. I'm about 80% done with all that I want to do and I hope to finish by the end of June if I ever get a free weekend. Unfortunately, I only have a few pics of the finished stuff and no pics of the actual install. Here's a list of the stuff that I have so far:

-Stock head unit(Bose premium unit)
-Peripheral Electronics SVEN 2 LOC
-Audio Control 4.1 equalizer mounted in dash
-Audio Control 3XS crossover mounted between back seats
-JL Audio e6450 six-channel amp
-Kicker RMB8 8" midbass drivers in the doors
-Elemental Designs e10.14k 10" sub
-Streetwires 4 guage amp wiring kit
-Monster Cable 16 guage speaker wire
-KnuKonceptz RCA's from the EQ to crossover
-crappy RadioShack RCA's from crossover to amp(will replace)
-about 100 zip ties

For the speakers I removed the stock 6x9s in the rear deck because I have the sub. The tweeters in the doors are from the previous set of MB Quart Discus components I installed. The 6.5" driver in each door has been replaced with a Kicker RMB8 8" midbass. I got this idea from another coupe owner who did the same thing. The midrange drivers in the rear panels are the stock units. For now I'm putting up with these. In the near future, the rear midranges and tweeters in the doors will be taken out completely and a set of Image Dynamics CD1PRO horns will be installed under the dash.

Also, the RCA's from the eq to the crossover are run through the center console past the shifter, on top of the tranny hump. I also ran new 16 guage speaker wire between the front seats with the RCA's. Getting new speaker wire in the doors is a complete pain in the ****. The 4 guage power wire for the amp is on the left side of the car.

oops, pic of the eq. The eq lights up at night, and the lighting matches the stock amber lighting perfectly.
Edited by aorbeta on 05/31/04 04:42 PM.

amp rack and sub. The sub is in a .5 cubic foot enclosure. If I ever get time, I'll fiberglass a sub to the left of the spare, like blksnake did with his.
Edited by aorbeta on 05/31/04 04:37 PM.

close shot of left side of amp. The wiring in the back with electrical tape is the stock wiring harness for the 6x9's in the rear deck.
Edited by aorbeta on 05/31/04 05:06 PM.

Nice system I want to do something similiar but want to put replace the ashtray and place the equalizer in its place. Are you in NY specifically (Long Island)?

Re: My system w/pics

Sorry Skeeter. I would help you out but I live in Va. I dunno what equalizer would work in the stock ashtray. My ashtray is actually not there. That's a dummy plate that I made from the stock ashtray cover. The ashtray is not funtional because my eq is in the way, so I axed the ashtray. That's okay, because I don't smoke.

Re: My system w/pics

takuyaah,
I agree with you about the graphic display. I did a quick search to see if there were any graphic displays I could use before I installed everything. Nothing came up. Have any ideas or suggestions?

Re: My system w/pics

What are the dimensions of the kicker 8inch driver? Did you have to modify the doors?
