I can throw together a how-to for the OEM-to-JDM swap, if you want to wait for it, since I've got my spare parts box out right now, to work on a not-directly-related project.

That would be awesome. Can I buy you a six pack or something? Haha

Cuz I got the 'willow' kit thinking it was gonna be silver with the gray buttons. But no, the actual dash kit is willow and it has black buttons. So now I gotta start modifying because otherwise I'm gonna have silver pop up nav part, gray nav buttons, willow radio bezel, black AC buttons and then the silver center console part. Its gonna look like straight d!ck. At least if the buttons matched I may be able to make it look OK.

No, apparently it will only work if you buy the SWC module from Parrot. Even then its not officially supported for the G35/350Z. I did find somewhat of a DIY guide of someone hooking it up to there 350Z which required a couple resistors IIRC. I just didn't want to pay the $100 or so for the Parrot module & dealing with wiring for Vol., Mute, Track or whatever the controls are when you can simply mute with one tap of the screen, change tracks by swiping left/right & volume by swiping up/down. All things you can do while still having eyes on the road.

Pleased to let you know you're wrong in order to save you about $50 and any trouble of soldering in resistors. They did an update to the Metra Axxess ASWC-1 that allows it to work with the Asteroid smart. You just need the newest firmware for both the ASWC (link) and Asteroid Smart (link) and the (currently) $9 AX-SWC-PARROT plug.

Glad to see that have a fix for that but not sure if it's worth it to pull everything out again. Thanks for the update though, you seem to know everything when it comes to this kind stuff lol.
