Do our doors leak when it rains?

topic.

I haven't had the car long enough to know, but I'm putting a nice set of speakers in the door and I'm curious to know. Thankfully in Tucson at the moment, but that might not last long.

Yes they do.

I already gone through one set of speaker
and this time when I redo my door speakers
I'm adding a baffle to protect the speaker.

Damn, baffles aren't exactly the best for the sound I'm going after, but that's good to know

I'm planning on cutting it from underneath so it can get as much air space as possible.
That will at least protect the speaker from water coming from the top

framed doors usually are a bit better when it comes to leakage protection.
I haven't had any issues with my focals, just typical condensation. (Living in Canada has it's ups and down...
Downs - big temperature swings means LOTSA condensation, too much snow to drive my car more than 7 months a year
Ups - I can thrown snowballs from my winter beater

I have had no major problems with doors or sunroof for that matter, and I live in one of the rainest states in the country.

I think I'll get some XTC foam baffles and cut them to make a roof. Don't want to lose the good sound. Parts Express has them for less than $10
