adding amps...will i need to upgrade electrical?

I am getting ready to redo my stereo and I have a few questions before I get started. I will be adding 2 amps and I am wondering if I will have to do some upgrades to my electrical system, battery, alternator, big 3, etc. I will be adding a DLS A3 for my front components and an Arc kar 900.1d running at 1ohm. As of right now, I am planning on leaving the factory amp in to run the rears for rear fill.

So basically, I am wondering if I will need to upgrade anything to run those amps. Does anyone know what the output on our stock alternators are? I was also wondering what the best way to connect the power wire to the stock battery.

id try to hook everything up first and then go from there

Im running a nine.1 which can draw up to 120 amps and a smaller MTX amp for the mids which can draw another 40....so a possibility of 160 amps.

I have never had any issuses with dimming and I like to play my music loud.

If you do get dimming pick up a battery then an alt....the big three has never done anything for me

I guess my main concern is how many amps out stock alternators can handle. Ive tried searching all over, but cant find anything. Im guessing that Im looking in the wrong places or something. My Arc amp is rated at 90amp and my DLS is rated at up to 140, although I am assuming I wont pull anything close to that since it wont be bridged and it will be running at 4ohms. So my guess is that my max current should be around 120amps.

You'll be just fine with your set up. I would suggest a 1 farad capacitor or more to help with bass response and to help aleviate some stress on the electrical system, but you are still a good distance from needing an alternator upgrade.

the cap would not help

it will provide a VERY short burst of current but thats it, after that it only becomes a drain trying to stay charged.
