I looked through the previous threads but could not locate any where someone wanted to add a aftermarket amp without adding a sub.

So here's what I'd like to do. I want to replace my stock speakers (all 8 of them 2ohm) and add an aftermarket amp. I already have an old Sony CX-6000 (6ch) amp which has the following:

full front speaker mode which I will connect my component spkrs to
full rear spkr mode which i will connect a set of 6 1/2's
sub channel which i will connect a set of 6x9's (I'd love to retro fit a set of 8' subs in the rear deck )
All speakers will be 2ohm as I understand it that's what the Bose setup calls for.

Here's what I'm thinking I need but I want to ensure that my thought process is correct.

I need the AudioControl LC6i and place it between the stock amp and aftermarket amp.
Question: should i splice the stock wiring before or after the bose amp?

I will splice the speaker wire and run them to the LC6i.
