If I knew more about wiring and things like that I would just pull out the radio and maybe find something wrong, but I've never been good with electrical issues. I'm strictly mechanical

Anyhow, like I said earlier I will be ordering a new (or slightly used) OEM radio and see what happens. From what I can tell that's the only "fix."

I have been having the same problem with my passanger side also. It has to be the head unit because i have bypassed the factory amp and am running a high's and bass amp. I have checked all connections for the amps and speakerwires everwhere except for the headunit. I would really hate to have to replace the headunit because that is gonna be a pretty penny.

Same problem here.. my '04 6MT G35 Coupe just started doing this like 2 days ago. It's really annoying.

I may rip the head unit out and take it apart to see if I can figure out a fix for it if it pisses me off enough.... which it probably will, since I listen almost exclusively to CD's in my car.

solution?

anyone had luck to fix this fxxxing problem?
I have the same issue for quiet a while -- left front speaker in and out when playing CDs, never tried to use my fist to hit it though....

I looked around this forum and found this, probably a solution

http://www.shiftice.com/Maxima_02-03...dio_repair.pdf

I may try this when it is cooler, too hot outside now.....

if anyone try this method and fix the problem, please keep us updated, thanks a lot.

I'm planning on taking my head unit apart in a month or 2 once it's cooler outside and less buggy out there. I wasn't aware that someone had posted something like this which tells you how to fix it. I don't like the half-plugged-in solution though, so if I do this I'll probably try to find a more permanent solution.

this thread likely isn't going to help anything... if you do a search, someone has found a guy that can fix them. I can't remember the name of the thread. but in the thread I think it said something about radio md or something like that

CD Speaker Problem-Drivers Side

Same problem-driver side speaker works fine with radio-not with CD. Passenger side works fine. Did anyone take it to a good auto audio shop to have them work on it?? I looked at the Maxima link but that is way over my head.

Any other suggestions other than buying a new CD unit.

Thanks

the new unit from a dealer is $700?? i would really like to fix this only because i don't want to have to mess with the interior look, but it seems i may have to just go and buy an aftermarket stereo

Wow, nice to see my thread went so far. Well I haven't found a fix for the CD player but I have for the tape deck. I was using a really crappy tape deck MP3 converter, and I just bought a new one. Knock on wood...it works perfect!

I suppose the only fix for the entire thing is to buy a used unit...if you buy a new one you need your head examined.
