whats what i'm debating. idq or jl w3v2. i've heard good things about idq, but i dont know if they can outbeat jl audio. the new idqs look good.

 

I owned a pair of IDQ 12" in my previous truck. I was not that impressed. I have since installed them in various customer vehicles with lackluster performance. They are reliable and sound ok, but I would lean toward the W3 on this one.

 

i am using a five channel alpine amp. (MRV-F450) the sub channel only puts out 200w at 4ohmz. will that be good enough for a JL 10W3, or 10W6? thanks.

with only 200 watts I would go with a idq 10. It's far more efficient then the w3 at the same wattage when I used the idq/arc 10 in.

you guys have any amp suggestion for the w3?.. the jl 250/1 is too expensive for a 250 rms amp..

You can try to find some used AVIONIXX amps, they're cheap and sound pretty darn good for the money.

the jl 250.1 might be expensive, but trust me, there is no other combo out that would sound as good as the jl 250.1 and a 10w3v2.

 

As I awlays say, look at the Profile Mono Amps - The Clarus 600M or the California. It'll pump out a solid 300 Watt RMS, more than enough to power the w3 and at a great price. Its worth getting. The only downside I see on the Profile's are they are a little bulky but I don't mind the size as much at all. I'm also anxiously awaiting my box from 4080 and get all my stuff into the car already!
