Where to Dynomat

I'm going to start dynomatting my coupe and am wondering where to start. My set-up will be the Justice/Drew stealth box, 10W7, and 500x1 JL amp. So my question is: what should be my "order of importance" for dynamatting. Doors first then trunk? Truck first? Any opinions out there? Thanks in advance.

Re: Where to Dynomat

you dynamat whatever is gonna be vibrating --> the trunk...since the sub, and a 10w7 hits hard, is in the trunk there will be the most vibration and the most noise dampening needed therefore dynamat the trunk. you don't really need to do the doors unless you're putting in new speakers up front, otherwise it's fine unless you hear some weird rattling sounds..

Re: Where to Dynomat

Just a quick bit of advice for ya: instead of using dynamat which costs an arm and a leg per square yard, go to Home Depot and buy some GAF brand "storm guard" or "weather guard." It's EXACTLY the same material as dynamat, without the logo and is usually around ~$60 for 30yards. That'll be enough to do you entire car, with ease.

On another note, pay close attention to the area where the liscence plate is on the rear "bumper." I would actually start by sound dampening the entire trunk, including lid, and then listening for buzzes/rattles when the sub is in. The dynamat the trouble areas as needed.

Re: Where to Dynomat

Thanks for the advice everyone. I get a good deal on dynomat ($105 for 36 square feet of the extreme package since I have a very nice car-audio connection. Looks like I'll do the trunk very well first - then the doors.

I heard some people suggest to take out the 6x9s in the rear and dynomat that area. A good idea?
