front passenger speakers buzzing

I just bought an 03 g35 coupe with the bose stereo. However, didn't notice when I test drove it that apparently the front passenger speakers buzz for some reason. The tweeter and the 6.5" buzz for any input (cd, tape, fm/am), and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about what might be the problem and if I could do anything about it myself.

I too just bought a used G35 2 weeks ago, had times this past weekend and took it up to Las Vegas from Los Angeles.

Everything has been going perfect so far then (famous last words)

All of a sudden the rear drivers side speaker goes nuts and buzzes like there is 12 volt power going to it. It drove me nuts, so i pulled off he door panel and removed the speaker. Only to then hear an overamplified bass sounds coming from the rear speakers, the front ones now sound like crap.

I bought a premium warranty, it should cover everything, It has to be the head fried something and now I should get it replaced,

I am guessing your problem is the head as well, hope you got the warranty

Turns out it wasn't the head unit...a while back I had the whole audio system replaced. The head unit went first, then a couple weeks later I replaced the amp and 6 of the 8 speakers (not the 2 6.5s on the sides of the rear seats). In those couple weeks though, the noise still happened so it couldn't have been the head unit. It had to be either the amp or the speaker, but my guess is the crappy Bose amp. Haven't heard it since I replaced the rest of the parts.

Bose is to blame for just about everything bad about the system.
Clarion takes the rest of the blame.

Yeah the Bose is such a terrible system. I like the noise cancelling headphones and assumed when i bought the car it sounded pretty good. And compared to my old fm transmitter iPod thing to my camry's 4 lousy speakers it was. But idk how they call that premium, it would've been just as good to come with no speakers in the end to save the hassle. I can't even sell the components since idk which ones are bad. The head unit is fine but idk if the front right speaker tweeter are bad or the amp. Just sucks since in about 5 years when I'm racking up the miles I'll prolly go g37 and run into the same crap with an even harder to replace system so I'll be stuck with the head unit.

I couldn't see selling any part of my Bose, that'd be like knowingly passing on a STD. Except it's via the ears. Gross.

Lol well some ppl sadly just want cheap replacements for broken parts instead of upgrading. Or if you're looking to sell your g but parts are broken it'd be nice to just replace the stock.

That's the reason I'm keeping my stock parts... not going to put $3k into the stereo only to lose it all if for some crazy reason I ever sell, my car, er both my sedans.

Lol yeah that's what I'm gonna end up doing. Just keeping the stuff. If when i sell it I have enough money to invest in new components I'll sell as is but if not I'll just put the stock back in. I'm only 19 and Ive only had it for about 11 months with 52k miles now, so I'll be keeping it for a while until i get some income after I graduate next spring and hopefully start bringing in some decent bucks.

Yeah, my last car I had for 10 years, had the same subs, box and amp the whole time. Actually owned them before I owned the car I put them in, since I bought them used from my brother. Wish I'd taken more time to remove the stuff in it, but it was getting late, and they were old. When I think how cheap that setup was and how good it sounded (2x Infiniti Kappa 62.9i, 2x Infiniti Kappa 6x9's (speakers all powered by a Kenwood X792 headunit) and 2x MTX Thunder 2000's on a JBL 300w RMS amp) I can't wait to get back home and do this install and just revel in the auditory bliss.

Haha yeah my next car I'm gonna go all out. I really enjoy alpine so I think I'm probably gonna stick some type-x pros in the fronts next time, some dynomat like everywhere, a type x sub and maybe some type r 6x9s again. Either that or if I'm really makin money I'll go up to focal lol. I'd like to learn how to do all this stuff myself. It seems like so much idk how ppl really learn how to do these installs. It would save me so much money and I don't have any problem working on my car.

Like most stuff with cars, it's just about removing the old and putting the new in.

This car's as all-out as I'll ever go... which is pretty far.
Z110BT
BA Pro60SE's up front
BA SC65's in the rear
JL 300/4
JL 500/1
JL 10w6v2
60 ft² of SDS CLD tiles (dynomat can suck it compared to this)
4080 enclosure

I think anything over that you won't hear the difference when the car's in motion. Even the Pro60SE's are above that threshold, but I guess I'll enjoy red lights more with them in the car.

Yeah I'm not trying to spend more than like 5k total. One of my good friends has just about the best setup i could think of buying. And it cost him about that much. It just sucks to get good is expensive but to get great stuff is ridiculously more, and will you notice the difference in a car, probably not. That's why i have my best audio equipment at my computer where i spend most of my time when I'm home.
