What type of music do you listen to? If you listen to rock, 10's. If you listen to rap, 15. If you listen to 'everything' 12's. As for what company for sub, listen to a bunch of different ones at stores and see what sounds good to you. Don't go by brand or dollars, what do you like the sound of??

how much room do you have?

thats the key

if you have enough room for a 15" go for it

It's actually about the enclosure design. Ditch audiobomb, JL is good, sure its overpriced but you have quality. eD, eh, no thanks.

If you have a coupe, only way you're getting in a 15 is if you fire the sub upwards, make sure you got enough space, probably have to take out the spare tire and use the spare tire well as part of the enclosure.

In the sedan, it's no problem, I'll be doing a 15" in mine, heck I was considering doing an 18" in mine.

I listen to everything, but mostly rap and techno more specifically electro, so i should get two 10s? I also have a coupe and I am not looking to take out the spare tire.

Amount of subs, size, etc, dont matter. It's whatever fits in your ride with the proper air space.2 10's would be fine though.

Get this instead, you will only need ONE: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=18357

Best sub I've ever heard along with the IDMax

I would be skeptical getting anything from a website that is not an authorized dealer...you can end up getting defective items with the serial numbers scratched off...

I personally wouldn't.. with a rating of 4.15, it seems like more than half of the customers weren't happy

To actually answer your question...the two tens will produce more sound. They have more cone surface area and with good power will kill a single 15. It makes no difference what type of music you listen too. That has always been a poor and false method of picking subs. Its all about enclosure design. Even the sub plays little part as long as you buy something decent.

More cone area does not mean it will produce more sound...it's also difficult to describe the difference when using two different subs...there are other factors...I have proven people wrong with this theory many times. I used to have a single 10" sub in an utterly small enclosure with around 700w going to it and it got louder than setups with a pair of 12's. I didn't just use the human ear to measure the difference since that would be inaccurate, I used a Term Lab and did several runs. In addition, I was running a sealed enclosure as opposed to ported with some of the others I tested and I still had more output, so the theory of ported = louder is not always true, however, if you use the same sub, same vehicle, then yes ported will be louder.

The factors involved are the subwoofer itself, the enclosure, and the vehicle...different vehicles will have different cabin gains. Some subs are better than others, thus the reason why the sub makes a difference and the enclosure itself makes a huge difference.

Besides that, a single 15" has more cone area than two 10" subs.

Two 10's have a total cone area of 157 sq. in.

A single 15" has a total cone area of 176.625.
