on my radio sometimes the sound randomly gets cut off and comes back on seconds later does anyone know y this happens. I drive a 2004 g35 coupe 6mt

my cd player does it to though think it might b bad wiring?

 

i know with the 1st gen g35s, the circuit board in the radio/ac buttons have shorted few.

 

So I have to get a new radio?

 

Are you talking about satellite radio? If you are, I have the same problem with both my vehicles. It has a tendancy to go out if there's something obstructing the signal's path to the satellite.

 

I've read most if not all posts regarding the stock radio with the bose system. I cannot get more than one fm station and 0 am. Where are all the connections for the antenna located in first model 2003 g35 sedan? Im thinking antenna connection because it does not seem to be electrical problem. Anyone? Thanks


Update. I got the radio repaired here in Rancho Cordova, CA . It was the tuner box itself that was causing the problem. Not cheap at $225 but it now works. The tuner box itself is like 4x3x1/2 in thick.

 

Is the AM and FM radio antenna built into the windshield?

 

2003 sedan, back window, stock bose system, no mods

I saw FSM and I have sunroof model. I truly think it is the antenna cable connection at the head unit. Is there any shortcut to checking the head unit connection without taking the console out. I had it done to fix the AC problem in these and maybe at that point there was a loose connection that has since come loose. One more, If I get this repaired any idea what an original owner, Premium, NAV, sunroof, 2wd sedan Winter package sedan would sell for with 51600 miles. Thanks for your input here.
