Exclamation avic d3 install need advise

To start off i have a 04 g35 coupe with bose and no nav .

I been reading on how you guys install your avics .I may have done somthing wrong though .

I bought a metra 7550 harness and Nissan antenna adaptor .I didnt use the harness with the rca plugs .I hear people say you cannot use the 7550 because you wont get sound from the factory amp and you must run wires to the back and hookup a aftermarket speaker amp .That leads me to beleive i might have a problem Here is how i hooked it up :

7550-D3 harness

v+ - yellow on d4 harness
acc - red on d3
antenna - blue on d3
illumination - orange on d3
black gnd - black on d3 then to chassis gnd
black/white stripe - to chassis gnd <-----------------------------------
blue/white stripe - romote wire on d3 RCA harness <--------------------

Parking brake to chassis gnd
speed signal from d3 harness to white/green stripe on 4 wire radio harness
I hooked all the speaker wires up from the 7550 to the d3 harness

The thing i need to know is why when i turned it on does it work perfect .Sound and all . The sound is much better then the factory bose radio . It is still running through the factory amp i believe . Is that good ? Should i change it ? I was not expecting to have sound and was going to install a aftermarket amp cuz i thought i had to . Btw the volume can go pretty loud .I dont ever even need to go half way up . ITs like perfect and still crystal clear .No hissing or anything either . I just want to be sure the way i have it hooked up is ok ?

Im thinking i got sound because i hooked up the black/white wire and blue/white wire from the 7550 harness which i think is factory amp remote turn on and factory amp gnd .Am i right ?

So if I'm reading this right, it's working perfectly and you're surprised and need help to make it not work?

haha welcome to the world of proving forums wrong
a lot of guys believe that the 7551 harness is much better, when the problem is that if you don't have a high preout level the 7551 harness is pretty useless.
Congrats on the install the D3 is a very good unit

I love this feeling.. I had a bunch of people telling me D2R wont work in a D2S housing for a projector headlight swap.. The D2R plugged right up and worked perfectly.

cool thanks . Maybe you guys should all hook it up like me to avoid any problems .nice feeling . Im probably eventually going to bypass the bose amp when i put my audio equipment in but for now im am more than happy with the sound output and quality .

I do have my custom built RE sx 12" sub ,cdt audio hd-6 componants , memphis amp , elemental designs amp and all knukonceptz wiring sitting in my room but for now its all good . I havent looked it up but does the d3 have a active crossover system built in ?Also how many volts are the preouts ?

heres some installed pics

As you can see there is no gap at all .I used a metra finisher with jdm a/c controller . Had to modify around the buttons to fit the Jdm but worth it not to have a gap around the radio on the jdm finisher . I also added the dual climate button and as you can see my entire dash i converted to blue .
