Anyone having trouble using a tape adapter for the ipod? My friend tried using his in my car and wasn't working.

 

I've tried a couple (Belkin, Maxell) and both worked fine.

 

I have a Monster cassette adapter and it works fine too.

Bought one of these as an easy way to use the ipod in my car without the FM modulator, and it doesn't work. The head unit tries to read side one, then side 2, and then spits out the tape. Has anyone else had problems with this particular brand?

 

I bought a Sony cassette adapter, and it sounded like crap. Very compressed sound, and I couldn't bear to listen after a few songs. Vastly inferior to broadcast FM. I know the source is fine as I've hooked the iPod to my home stereo, (which is pretty decent) and it sounds very good. This was in my 4Runner, and I am going to do a hardwire install as soon as my PAC adapter comes in.

 

I bought one from Walmart (don't know the brand). I wasn't happy with the hissing sound from the FM modulator when nothing was playing. I tried the tape and it didn't work at all. At first it kept switching sides A to B. Then I pulled it out and put it in and it seemed to be working but when I put audio for my DVD player to it all I got was a scratchy sound. Looks like I will be using the AAI-NIS from PAC

 

I'm having the same problem as well. Sony tape adapter, plays for awhile then jumps to TAPE SIDE 2 then spits out the adapter and says TAPE ERROR.

Whats going on??????????? HELP!

 

I have my iPod hardwired to the SAT port with the PAC unit. The sound is amazing. If I manage to find time at home I'll take some shots of the iPod.

 

Me too... The PAC unit is amazing as I have said in other posts as well. This is by far the best solution for our factory headunits. I have sold so many already - and most of the comments I get back are excellent.

 

Has anybody had experience with the Monster iCruze? just wondering how that compare with the PAC solution?

 

with the pac unit...does your sat. radio still work???

 

Where can I find some more info on this PAC unit? I am trying to figure out the best way to be able to hard wire an iPod into my girls new 05 Coupe.

 

mine works fine...its the one from apple, i think its monster cable who makes em...works good but sound quality isnt all that great

 

i have that same problem....my monster tape adapter switches from a to b the spits the tape out with the tape error. I wonder what thats about. Can you use the pac unit if you do no have the sat button option on the car radio

 

My Monster unit does that as well sometimes. I try and make sure the cable from the cassette is not pinched in the slot or anything. 95% of the time it works fine though. Sound is adequate but I'd love to see/hear the PAC unit. Anyhone in Portland, OR have one??
