double dinn problem

I replaced the POS bose head, i bought the console, etc and the wire adapters,

i plug it all in and i get no sound of the speakers,

i am assuming it is because of the honking amp i have in the trunk,

so this means i have to figure out what speaker wires go to the amp then splice those in instead of using the stock plug i am now using?

If you purchased the Metra 70-7551 wiring harness - the one with white, grey, purple and green RCA connectors - you should be using the preouts (RCAs) from the headunit, not the speaker-level outputs.

It would help if you could say what harness you are using, and what headunit.

I replaced a Bose HU on Friday with a Pioneer U310BT using the 70-7551 and it went very well, but had no speaker-level output from the rears until setting the HU, which defaults to only subwoofer to the rear until initial setup is done.

Edit: and by "Honking AMP" are you sarcastically referring to the sandwich-sized Bose one, or have you installed a different one?

Edit 2: If you have a replacement amp in the trunk driving your speakers, you really should just run new pre-out wires from the new headunit all the way to the amp.
