New sub for a 4080 box?

I currently have a Kicker L5 sub in its own box just sitting at the front of my trunk, but to be honest, its ugly as hell.

I want to get a 4080 custom box and a newer sub. I am thinking a JL of some kind.

The other thing i am trying to decide on, would be either a 12" or a 10". I dont want to spend A LOT, but i'm willing to spend a little more for a good one. I am not looking to shake the world around me, but i want something that can compliment my speakers and stuff.

Any suggestions? Im gonna reuse my Hifonics amp.

What are you looking for (sq, spl, sql, etc.) from the sub? Also what does the rest of your system consist of, how much power will you be running to the sub?

I have an IDMAX10 d2 in my modified 4080 box currently, which sounds incredible and hits very hard. The Image Dynamics IDQ10 V3d2 is also an excellent sub, and I believe would not need any modification to maximize efficiency.

Mainly sound quality, but also to impress others when i get my ghetto beats going. You know, shake the mirrors a bit.

My headunit is an Alpine IVA-W205, my front speakers are Component Precision Power 6.5" speakers with the tweeters modified to be a coaxial, and my rear speakers are Infinity Kappa 6.5".

I'm not sure what my max power is going to the sub, but i know its a lot less than my amp is capable of. 1000W i think. (sorry, im kind of an audio newb lol)
