i think you are right i kept turning the car on and off (without engine start) and after the third time there was sound, so it sounds like its the amp....

 

Your best bet would be to just upgrade to an aftermarket stereo, and / or speakers, and have a shop wire it up and just take out the amp.

 

I like my speakers they sound really good (Bose) i don't want to change them, i really don't want to change the radio either if i could i would just like to get a new amp and have a shop install it for me

 

Yes, you could do that as well. Most people choose to go aftermarket with their stereo's, so I figured you could take the opportunity to go ahead and do that. I don't like the sound from the stock bose at all, but to each their own!

Go to a local shop that does audio work and get an estimate. Shouldn't be more than the price of the amp + 50-75 dollars for installation.

It's just going to keep cutting in and out. Your amp is probably faulty, or there is some bad wiring.

I remember reading in a thread that the amp is located above the drivers side rear wheel well - behind the seats / paneling inside the car, but I could be wrong.

 

Under the rear deck. It looks like something entirely too small to be a proper amp. Because it is.

 

plus my car was rear ended before i bought it.... so ma-by that could of damaged it and it just now started acting up...

 

Mine doesn't cut in our out, if it's on it stay on till i turn of the car, if it doesn't turn on it wont be on.

 

If the rear-end damage got to your amp, the car would have been totaled. It's just the POS Bose amp doing what it normally does.
