I turn my car on and there is no sound from the speaker's?
Some of those universal audio devices have an auto on/off function, which means they automatically turn on when they sense they are receiving an audio signal, and turn off when theres no signal. But I doubt it would take 10 or 15 mins for it to shut off....unless it is faulty.
The first thing I would try would be to rewire the whole thing and bypass that universal audio box.
If the audio still turns off after a few mins, find a cheap little speaker and tap it into one of your speaker wires BEFORE it gets to the Bose amp.
If the speaker plays the audio, then the issue is probably your Bose amplifier. If it doesnt play, then its most likely your head unit going bad. Use a CD instead of the radio when performing these tests.

G35 2004 coupe speakers issues
Hi guys.
So I've replaced the headunit with a metrakit + double din radio.. All worked perfectly.. Until my brand new battery died multiple time overnight.. So i ran a troubleshooting:
1- removed radio fuse.. Car start ok in the morning no more battery drain
2- unplugged the new double din radio
3- check currrent draw with a multimeter
4- radio circuit has a 1.5A draw.. Believe its very high
5- unppluged the white harness power cable from the bose amp.. = no more current draw..
since the double din radio was completely unplugged i know that its not an issue with my wiring..
Do you guys know why the amp draw that much current when plugged in and how to fix it please !!
Thank you

Well, with help from you and this forum, I was able to remove the stereo, have it sent off and fixed and have reinstalled the unit. The radio has power and my temperature controls all work fine, but I had no sound coming from my radio and once again with your help, I purchased a used amp and now have sound from the radio.
My problem now is with the key on and power off to the radio, I am getting static noise from my rear speakers. What could be causing this??
