Hi Everyone,

Just ordered my double din conversion kit from strictly Z.
On the other hand, I just noticed that the conversion with the JDM AC controller does not have the option we have where we can control the driver and passenger AC temp.!!!

I also noticed that one of the people that have done the conversion has the dual temp. control button!!!

My question is: Once I try to install the new JDM part, will I be able to control the temps like I can now? or will I lose that option completely? If so, am I required to leave the AC in the desired mode before starting the conversion, because logically speaking I wont be able to change it once the new part is in place.

you desolder the piece from the factory a/c controller and resolder it on to the new A/C controller.

if you don't do this, you will lose the dual climate control.

Yup, you just get the old button off your a/c do a little soldering and add it to the JDM. Hey I was thinking of ordering those parts from the same webSite. Let us know how it turns out, if you needed any other parts, after the install is done. I am considering ordering from them also and would like this info.

 

Where on Strictly Z did you find the Double Din, I don't see it. I thought that was the site I was going to buy from, but it is not. Now I'm curious where to find it so I can buy it from Strictly Z.

 

It's not and probably won't ever be listed on the Strictly Z site. I think Kyle only got few units in and they are all gone already. I checked with Strictly Z a couple of days ago, and they don't have any, and I don't think they will have any more any time soon. So, I just ordered the old fashioned way...from Yoshi at J's garage in Japan.

I am having my double din installed this week my question is i have willow int. so my bottons are brown and the v35 a/c controler is black rather then switch over all the bottons can i just not use the dual climate control? will my a/c still work 100%

 

we haven't resolved the willow interior brown buttons yet. We couldn't find the Nissan japan parts for the willow interior from J's for both the AC controller w/ brown buttons as well as well the center console piece with tan ends (vs. the balck ends).
I think most people who have the willow interior have accepted the black buttons....I don't know if anyone who has swapped out all the brown buttons from the stock ACC for the v35 JDM AC controller. I suppose it can be done, it would just take a little time and patience to push out all those little fragile plastic retaining clips for each button.

Your AC will work if you don't swap the Dual CLimate control buttons. You just won't have dual climate control if you don't.

hey skaline, how long did it yoshi say it would take? I emailed him yesterday to order mine, but have got no response back yet.

 

He said I should get it within 10 days. Great service. Gave me a tracking number right away. Pretty easy deal. It usually takes him a day or so to return your e-mail due to the time difference. Ordered mine Sunday, it was shipped Tuesday.

Yeah...I know with Yoshi it takes about 10-15 days....

 

Wow....It only took 5 days! Sent payment 9/14 and received parts 9/19. Just got here today, Sunday morning at 8am. Holy crap, I didn't know the US postal service delivered on Sunday!

I hope mine comes this quick, but I live in Canada, so who knows how long it will sit in customs for. What headunit wll you be using skaline?

 

I got the Kenwood Excelon DDX7015 DVD and the Kenwood music keg. I plan on doing the install this week. Man, I can't wait to get started : )

Thats the deck I'm going with as well, with sirius tuner. I haven't got the deck yet, but it is on order. Are you just tying in to your bose amp, or are you bypassing it.
