The first step is to provide people who may want to help with information so they can help you.

What year?
Coupe/Sedan?
Pics of what's not fitting would probably be best, and answer both above questions.

Oops sorry i should’ve continued my prior posts that explain everything.
I have an 03 coupe with stock nav and Bose. I got the metra dash kit and a pioneer 3200 DVD head unit. i got everything fitted except for the stock nav. The button are in place but with the metra kit, i see no place to secure the navigation assembly

Not sure if others with 03/04s with nav & ddin used the Metra kit or not, but there's always a way to mount it if it fits. Hot glue, aluminum sheets, JB weld...

Oh, and before you go attacking it with a dremel or whatever, you may try calling Metra's help line: 1-800-253-TECH

They don't say that navigation DOESN'T fit, so, they should be able to help you out.

I just went threw this problem a few months back.

Good fing luck lol. The Nav wont stay mounted, and when it does the fit looks goofy. I was pretty psyched about using a pop up screen as my rear monitor for movies and nav, and I do this for a living, and I couldn't figure it out without fabricating some kind of crap.

That being said I spent two days planning this, and asked around at work. G35 metra's are common. keeping stock nav, theres a few threads around the net, but i couldnt do it without a bunch for time than I'm patient enough for.

Instead I decided to just get the pocket thats in stock g's and put a screen inside it. It won't do the impressive slide up by button, lol, but its a screen. I plan to use an Archos 5 MID. It's sort of like a cheaper older ipad, looks like a 5" nav screen with Android operating system does internet movies games, google navigation yadda yadda.

Thanks for posting the update, I'll update my Ddin post to show that you need the JDM to do it.

you can usee the nav screen with the metra kit however, you will end up having to fabricate a mount for it as the kit doesnt have one for it. I believe the kit was inteneded for non-nav G's. If you have a nav G then go with the JDM kit even though its 3x more expensive, in the end it will look better

3x? Hm, maybe if you get the 1/2 off deal from crutchfield if you buy a headunit with it, otherwise it's maybe 1.5x as much.

i had the metra kit also and i was not able to get the oem navi to fit. the navi buttons would sit pretty tight on the kit and getting the screen to mount onto the kit just didnt happen for me. i do remember i had one screw that would line up with the controls but the other side didnt. i agree with metpage that you will have to rig something up to get the navi to fit.
