I got my amp installed back in January when the weather was consistently lower than 50 degrees. Now that the temp raised to about mid 70's up to 80's, it will shut off while playing music about 10 minutes after when I raise the volume to about 20 on my Pioneer D3.

The guy that installed and tuned my amps gained the levels to about where 20 is kind of the loudest I can listen to before it gets too uncomfortable. Also, another experience with this amp is that it seems like my speakers or subs are about to explode when it goes into protecting mode, like a big BOOM.

So, I had a spare HiFonics Titan 6406 multi-channel amp sitting around and put that on for the time being and it's not turning off or anything. I tried tuning it but I fail miserably and just keep everything minimum so I don't fvck anything up. Does anyone know what could be wrong with my JBL amp? Could it be the tuning since 20 is the loudest I want to hear it?

I'm currently running MM6501 front and MM651 rear and MB Quart 6x9's (forget which ones they are). So, I know for a fact that these speakers can handle the power and I've heard very good reviews about the JBL Amp but is it turning off because it's overheating since I have it where the spare tire used to be? But I doubt that could be the reason since my hifonics is working fine without turning off. Someone help!
