My cousin is an electronics guru and has expressed an interest in attempting to possibly fix broken OEM BOSE head units.

So I need a donor BOSE head unit that could be used as a ginny pig and taken apart to identify some of the parts and locate the suppliers. 05 and up systems only, the ones without cassette tapes.


if anyone has one laying around and don't mind donating it for the greater good and possibly for the good of the entire Driver community..........it would be greatly appreciated, especially if you are local.

 

There was somebody who found a chip that could be replace fairly cheaply and fixed one of the problmes, and there's the radiomedics? place that can fix them too, but the whole unit is generally fragile due to the circuit board going out, the mechanics of the disc changer and the power circuits inside going out as well.

 

As of today, I have a busted 03 you can have, pending my aqcuisition of a new DD or I guess cheaper OEM Bose radio that will work!!!

 

I'm out of town on business, but when I get back home next week, you can have mine if you pay for the shipping costs...
