Unhappy Ok I think I finally narrowed it down...

Well I have a 03 two dr coupe with the bose sound system and a stock navi.

I have been racking my brain over in dash gps units for a while now...Probably more than I should have. I just wanna make sure I get the most bang and use for my buck, so to speak. I was ORIGINALLY looking at the KENWOOD DNX6140 AND THE KENWOOD DNX6160...(due to them being the leader in gps navigation)

I think I may have narrowed it down to....

The Pioneer AVIC-X920BT. It seems legit but ANYONE that owns this, do you have an opinion? I've read reviews, watched videos, etc. Just to be sure...But I would like YOU that OWN the units opinion.

Here is a list of sites (with the specials / and/or accessories they offer with it.) Just debating on which site REALLY has the BEST deal...

onlinecarstereo.com =

799.00

w/ no accessories and free shipping

3 yr ext. wrty = 49.95
5 yr ext wrty = 89.95

crutchfield =

999.99

+ pioneer premier ts-a702c speakers
+ free cd-iu50v ipod cable
+ wiring harness and antenna adapter
+ free shipping

3 yr ext. wrty = 119.99
4 yr ext wrty = 164.99

sonicelectronix.com =

779.99

+ free Scosche NN03B / NN03 wiring harness
+ free shipping
( still have to purchase the Scosche NDAB antenna adapter at 4.99

3 yr ext. wrty = 89.99
4 yr ext wrty = 104.99

Any opinions on this matter?

Thanks so much!!!!

I have purchased from Sonic several times via their eBay store, but sometimes Crutchfield is great for piece of mind since you can return anything within 30 days and believe me I have used this "feature" in the past.

Crutchfield definitely has the best customer service out there, and the X920BT is in my Top 3 headunits list. I'm about a month away from hands-on with the Z110BT, it's slightly older brother (which will get refreshed with the Z120BT software upgrade soon).

what are the other 2 if you don't mind me asking?

I am considering going with the x920bt as well due to the pandora feature although I do prefer Kenwood's GPS.

Why do you want a HU with navi when you already have it?

I have stock navi and just bought a niice Pioneer HU (without navi). I figure why spend more when you don't need to?

Do you plan on keeping your stock navigation as well as adding a navi HU?

The Z110BT (which also supports pandora) which is getting software upgrade to match the stuff in the X920BT and be re-released as the Z120BT in about a week. I got my Z110BT for about $900, so whatever the price of the maps/software upgrade is, it'll be cheaper than the price of the Z120BT for a while.

The Kenwood DNX9960 is probably the best navigation one out there, but the rest of it is below the Pioneer units.

You can't get a top-of-the-line DD unit without navigation.
They don't make double-din, non-navi units with voice control, the fastest processors, the best sound imaging features...

I would say the Pioneer 4200DVD is among the best non-navigation units, but it doesn't have quite the feature set of the Z110BT or X920BT.
