Tip on actuall stock sub replacment and size upgrade advice
Hello,
to make the post short,
1st gen sedan, bose w factory navigation.
What is a good budget sub under 100 bucks for the stock location?
What is a good value sub for stock location around 200-300?
Is it possible to put a 10 inch in the stock location with out any modding and cutting?
If so what is the recommendation for a budget 10 inch and a sub of a good value around 200-300.
Thanks. I was just going to Pm Wrathernaut since I know hes the guru, but I figured better to ask publicly so maybe someone else can benefit from any of the answers anyone else shares.

Step a little over the $100 mark and do this for budget:

In the 200-300 range:

No, you can't put a 10" in the stock location.
Just keep in mind that you're essentially running an infinite baffle setup if you put it in the rear deck, which is going to make more noise, but won't be anywhere as clean as a sealed or properly ported enclosure.

Thank you Wrathernaut
btw, that one says on pre order, do you have one in mind that is available now?
I just need something that is better than stock, the g35 sedans sub is a down grade from my old 02 maxima, and definitely not as good as the stock g37 sedans.
Just need something to a little better than the max or 37 quality and ill be ahppy

http://www.woofersetc.com/p5504/8W3V...-Subwoofer.htm is another step up in price, but still a good one.
Under $100 though - http://www.woofersetc.com/p8389/REX8...-Subwoofer.htm

Well, they'll sound better than the stock bose sub, but without a real amplifier, they can't really give off a lot of bass.
As far as "simple" well... not nearly as simple as a 4080 or zenclosure, because getting the stock bose sub out requires removing a lot on the rear deck, and you'll also have to make a mounting solution yourself, because not all 8" subs are the same size. Compare that to just running wires to a enclosure built to fit to the trunk and running power/signal wires and it's not nearly as simple.

Nah, and I'm not sure if I'll remove mine in the time I've got left here in the states. If I do, I'll post up measurements.
Honestly, when I removed the Bose speakers from my car and looked at them I was certain I'd pulled the speakers out of a 1984 Ford Ranger. Paper cones, shallow dish, and tweeters that looked like they came out of a $5 alarm clock radio.
No doubt, I have a mint condition 1985 Bass boat and the stock speakers in that kick the **** out of the 2005 Bose speakers. All I can think of is that they were overly proud of the car and thought the driver would be more enclined to listen to the revs and the raod versus the radio, pfft were they wrong.
