metra DD 05-06 with navi pictures
I looked in the gallery and didn't see one.
I wanted to see how the key matched up. The keys on the navi and the keys on the metra.
Since i'm getting my wood trim wrapped, so will the metra kit so it doesn't make a difference to me.
I would like to see a picture of kit installed with a factory navi and a picture of how the metra kit looks like at night.
Looking at the gallery with the guy who has the metra kit with the black painted dash made me want to do something along those lines. i'm just going to get to wrapped in a dark color.

There's a reason there's no Metra + Navi pictures in the gallery - the metra kit is only available in the non-navi dimensions, meaning that you'll have to trim about 1/8" off the top of the Metra kit off in order to get it to fit with the Navi controls above it. The wrap should hide the removed section just fine too.
You'll also be stuck wtih ugly Metra buttons, but at least the wrap will conceal the different material of the rest of the kit, and protect the crappy paint as well.
The buttons won't match up at all, you've got squishy grey rubber with illuminated leds in it and hard black plastic that's backlit through the lettering.
There's a shot of an 05+ Metra at night in my gallery and sticky:

You still end up with severe button style clash though.
It'll be much easier to paint the stock buttons grey to match the grey of the rubber than to try and dye the grey rubber.

if its the same as the 03-04 how it lights up and etc i will be happy. yea its weird rubber buttons but pretty much $100 for the kit on crutchfield when i buy a radio and i can sell my JDM DD
If you're going to just wrap it anyway, have you considered just mounting the JDM a/c controls in the stock face and doing this:

Since I still have my OEM faceplate, I'll probably give it a shot when I get back, since I'm not happy with how the top of my shortening of the JDM DD went.
