dont think they make a smaller one. Usually the screen is smaller.

double din is the size of the chassis of the radio

there is an eclipse double din with a 4.3" screen....

what exactly are you looking for?

7" double din is king!

Are you asking if there is a DD in which the unit doesn't fill the entire opening?

I thought you were asking about a DD with a screen size less than 7".

Well see ive noticed thats some of these DD units that people have the screen size is for example 5'8 or 6'2, candlestick what screen size is in that pic. Im just saying does the screen size have to be 7 inches? Would it be a problem if the screen size is smaller when installing with jdm dd kit.

The Avic D3 screen size that I posted is 6.1". The screen size does not have to be 7", but if you are shopping for a DD head unit I don't see why you wouldn't consider one with a 7" screen.

the screen size doesnt matter

Double din is the size of the unit it self, not the screen

you can have a 7" screen or a 5.75"..they will both have the same mounting size

If you cut the USB wire, you can shove the bare wires through a much smaller hole, but it requires a little bit of soldering. There's a little room around the hinges, but you're better off drilling the small hole and soldering it back together. Without cutting the wire, you're looking at a much bigger hole to get the USB plug through.
