Window goes 1/4 way up ....then down - help

couple of days ago, I've started experiencing problems with my driver side window.
When I try to roll it up it goes about 1/4 of the way and then just rolls down again as if the anti-pinch
feature is kicking in. I know it's impossible, as the anti-pinch feature will kick-in only when the window
reaches the top.
The only thing I can imagine that's causing it, is the KPtecnologies window roll up chip. - For anyone who's not
familiar with it, there is an aftermarket chip that enables you to roll up the windows via the OEM fob.
But this chip was installed almost 2 months ago and I haven't had a single problem with it. Not to mention the fact
that my passenger side window is working.
This problem is not persistent but rather interment.
I also noticed that when it happens, there is a noticeable slowness in the motion as if the window is powered by a battery that's about to die...
Could the roll back (down) is happening because there is something that's obstructing the window (slowness)? - but then again, the slowness is
not always there, it slows only on those accessions when the window gets stuck...

Help please...

I know this isn't likely the culprit speed, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Did you recently take off your interior door panel or do anything with that rubber part that rubs against the window when it's coming up/down?

When I took off interior door panel (speaker replacement) and put it back on, i didn't have the rubber thing placed the correct way. Caused a lot of resistance which made it think it was hitting something.

If that's not it... hmm.. I doubt it's the window roll up module itself, but perhaps some wiring became loose? Maybe the sudden coldness made some tape (if they used tape or other adhesives) become really weak, and now stuff's hanging loose.

I dunno, just throwing stuff out there, wish I could be more help.

I have this same exact issue. I am not sure what happened. I also have an aftermarket alarm and aftermarket front speakers. My plan is to take it to the dealer and hope they just fix it under warranty. BTW, I have a clifford alarm, but it doesn't make the windows roll down from the remote (or at least the shop that set it up didn't tell me it did).

Let me know how it works out. I was going to take it to the dealer today, but they are booked up the entire weekend.

Thanks,
Chino

the window motor is going bad. I've had this happen on both doors now. Mine started with it not working at all, then I forget it's borken and try the switch and it goes down, then up automatically.

window motor swap (covered by Infiniti) fixed both for me.

since it's intermittent, do you notice it happening after it rains, or you wash your G? water might be getting into the window-up mod. try mounting it with the wires facing down and maybe even putting a zip-lock bag over it as best as you could. just thinking out loud here.
