there should only be 3 sets of rca outputs. u sure the guys who did the previous installs used the right ones. maybe they mixed 1 pair of rca outputs with the subwoofer pair. were u able to see/understand how the 2 pairs of rca outputs were wired?

there was no rcas connected. head unit was installed previously. but i'm doing all the wiring for the amp. for the remote wire do i threeway it from the head unit to the harness to the amp? or is it just from the headunit wiring to the amp and disregard the aftermarket harness.

this may sound like a silly question, but, is the subwoofer output turned on on the headunit? You can do this from the "audio settings" menu I believe.

I pulled my rear seat while I had the console apart installing the HU, I ran my power and RCA wiring under the carpet down the transmission hump. (Power on one side, RCAs on the other.) I have a sedan though, not a coupe.

Where the amp power wire blue/white is tied to your Bose amp (your picture), you need to splice your new amp power signal wire into that blue/white wire. But you also need to keep the existing wire hooked up too. In your words, you need a "threeway" to make sure both amps are seeing the HU come on. That is the only purpose of the blue/white (blue wire with a white stripe or tracer) wire, to let the amps know when to power-up because the head unit is on. Without power going to both the main power to the amp and the blue/white wire the amp will not work.

Hope that makes sense.

that picture is the wires behind the head unit. i see where you're going with this though i have to threeway it so both amps read it. i didn't know when i was doing the sounds that i had a stock amp. -_-. lets see how it goes and i'll report back. thanks for all the help everyone.
