If you wanted a full rebuild with like a video game joypad, I have tools to disassemble one, but no parts to put much together. If there's no rush, I'll be back with my tools in about 4-5 months and can do it proper, otherwise you'd have to include soldering equipment, multimeter, hot melt glue, metal files and a drill, at the very least.

But if you sent one out, I would be able to get a better look at it and see what's feasible in terms of final assembly.

Besides watching this board and playing video games, I ain't got much else to do in my free time out here, so no compensation would be necessary, the change of pace would be nice.

How come your not so fond of the oem nav????
I mean you have to know nothing about g35s to not be able to tell that some1 has the nav system because you can see the nav controls, so it still has a chance of people stealing it but is the problems with it why no 1 likes them
Dude Just Listen! I was going this exact route as well. But didn't realize it was a waste of time and money. You better off getting a garmin or use your smart phone. I use my iphone 4.

no rush brosif...

but my time is limited, as I'm busy at work and a new baby on the way. if you want, you can search for the parts you need (say on e-bay for example), and PM me the link. I'll buy them and them out to you (provided that they don't cost a lot).

the pop up navi works fine for me. Yes it's a bltch to enter the address but it's not like I use the navi every day.

It's good for what I use it for and it's pretty pimp the way it pop up. It also provides MPG info and other stuff. Maintenance reminders and so on.

A touch screen would be nice though. The joystick interface is crap.
