Component Speaker Recommendation - Tweeters that fit in OEM Housing?

I'm slowly working on my audio build and need a recommendation on Component Speakers. I have an 05 Non-Bose Sedan. My two criteria are that I would like the tweeters to fit in the OEM housing and I would like to spend no more than $400. Recommendations?

Other parts of my audio setup are:

Avic D3
JL 300/4
JL 500/1
JL 12W3V3-4

The large tweeters on the
BA Pro60se BA Pro60se
's fit in the stock location, you just have to use some high-temp hot melt glue and/or make brackets to fit over them.

The sound from these components are fantastic too! More bass than the Bose subwoofer ever had just from the midrange drivers.

The crossovers are huge, but there's a couple places to mount them in the door:

Thanks for the suggestion, I will definitely consider those. Reading up on them, people have great things to say about them.

Do you have any pics of how these are mounted in your car? The tweeter is affixed to the outside of the OEM housing? You had to cut a hole in the OEM housing for these to work?

I did not cut any holes, they're mounted inside the little sail panel where the stock tweeter was. I don't think I took any pictures of the tweeters mounted, but you definitely cannot tell they are there visually. Definitely can tell with your ears though.

No pictures of the door post-installation, since it looks exactly like stock.

You would likely get a little bit more clarity if you cut new holes to mount them, but for me, being able to retain stock look was important.

Excellent, that's what I was hoping, that they would fit behind the stock snail panel. Really appreciate the info!

very laid back.

I can turn it up very loud and get no harshness or overly strong tweet, you just gotta hear em to understand

they do fit in the stock location

That reminds me, make sure you go through the instructions on the Pro60se's, there's a jumper in the crossovers to trim the volume up or down as well as one for setting if they're in coaxial or separated component mode.

Im running these and they sound great. Tweeters fit in stock location as well. Plus, this is an authorized retailer.

^Yeah, I've been reading reviews on both sets of components. Haven't decide which to go with yet.

Hey Marcus. I have a set of CDT Audio HD-642 3-way components sitting in the closet. 6.5" woofer, 4" mid, 1.75" tweet, SatNet 642 and SubNet 642 crossovers. I'll throw in a set of SatNet 480 crossovers so you can use the woofer and tweet in a 2-way configuration AND a set of CDT Audio TW-19/LP 0.75" image enhancement tweets too. Research the specs, reviews, and prices on this set and let me know if you're interested.

in my G im running a pair of polk 6.5 components. the tweeter bracket needed very minor fabrication, but easily fit into the factory housing with no cutting on the housing itself.

Wouldn't you have to cut a new hole for those mids?
I'm sure they sound great, but that's against the implied goals of his install.

Diamond Audio Hex tweeters (woofers too) fit perfectly in the stock locations. Probably more $$ than u wanna spend on a component set though, I got a good deal because my shop was a dealer
