Is the A/C problem only fixed with double-din install? Or is double-din just a preference of most people. It's not clear to me.

If A/C is fixed with single-din, are there any pictures of single-din installs that turned out well?

It doesnt matter if you use a single or a double din unit.

The a/c problem can be fixed with several methods, but any method that puts an OEM radio in to fix it is just going to fail again down the road. Spending $600 on an aftermarket unit and upgrading capabilities is generally a "Good Idea" when compared with spending $600 on an OEM unit, that's just as likely to fail as the old OEM unit. Being that G35s aren't budget cars, most people prefer not to put budget headunit in them, hence the preference for nicer, more expensive double-din units.

An aftermarket single-din unit fixes it just as well, and I've got one of them installed in my DDin gallery that's linked in my Shopping/Resourse list sticky at the top of this forum.
