Figured i'd ask for my friend, but last weekend he went home form college. Standard 04 sedan with the Bose. On the way back he got a little carried away with the volume levels and when he got back, he told me that his speakers were popping.

The other day we went out to drive it and they dont do it anymore. Anyone know what would cause this? He for sure thought that he had blown them out.

 

there just going bad...had the same noise just replaced them.
