so lets say....
so lets say you decide to replace the 2005 coupe, which has 6 speakers. so my question is getting a headunit with the standard 3 rca outputs (front, rear, bass) how would you go about replacing the whole stereo would you do a 3 amp set up with rca splitters? what would you do?
feel free to ask me any questions if you dont understand what im talking about

I am actually doing a 3 amp set up. 2 - 2-channels and 1 - 4-channel.
Why would you need RCA splitters? You run 3 RCA cables to your 3 amp set up.
Did you read the sticky at the top of the forum for the shopping list on replacing the headunit?

2 ch- fronts
4 ch- sides and rears
2 ch- bass
btw ty for the quick reply
The shopping list sticky really doesn't cover speaker and amp choice.
Those 3 RCA outs are three *PAIR* of RCA outs. no splitters required.
If you're never installing a subwoofer though, I'd get a good 6-channel amp, like the JL G6600, to power everything.
If you are installing a subwoofer, remove the 6x9's and go with a 4-channel class A/B amp for the front and rear full-range speakers, and a second class D amp for the subwoofer.

both 2 channel amps will run a subwoofer each.
but do u have the bose package with 6 speakers or the non bose with 4? because unless u plan to bridge connections i dont see how its relevant to my post.... u must be running the factory non bose
Enough of the theoretical "so let's say..." stuff.
What is your budget, music you intend to listen to 80% or more of the time, and whether you want to keep your trunk or not.
Without any of the above, you might as well just play find the unicorn, really.
If you have no budget right now, and are just "looking for ideas" here's the idea to take away: save up $1k for the radio install, another $1k for the amp/speakers/sub, and then you can think about great ways to spend it.
