There's nothing special about monster wire at all, it's overpriced. I had some generic brand in my old car for 10 years, it'd been in my bro's car for 2 years before that, and he got it used from somebody else.

 

OP, ever considered 2 8 w7's or other 8's?

here's a box for 2 8's..small enough to fit up against the seat back and save some space.

thanks eggyhustle but im going for a single sub. i want almost the largest sub i can fit in the trunk which is the 12w7 but sacrificing a lot of trunk space. i just want a large sub to pound. im just looking for a box for it now.

If you're just looking for pound, you need to forget about the 12W7, get a ported (or infinite baffle, even) setup.

 

Enough said.

JL is over priced for the sound/quality....look at other options. For the price of that one JL you could easily get two good 10's and a set of front speakers.
