6x9 subs?
Has anyone ever tried replacing the stock deck 6x9 with sub 6x9's?
http://www.tb-speaker.com/detail/1230_04/w69-1436.htm
Splice into the rear deck speaker wire turn it into RCA and run a amp for the read deck instead of a single sub in the trunk. I travel and use my trunk a lot, you know dead bodies and such...so having the trunk free is important but a little more bass would be fun. I know it wont be like a 12'' sealed box but it would be way more than stock right?

With that one only going down to 40hz, I wouldn't really call it a subwoofer, more like a mid-subwoofer. If you're putting in an aftermarket amp, you'll want to tap the pre-amp audio signal, not the ones going to the 6x9's.
But definitely would outperform the Bose 6x9's even with a moderate amp.

Do you have the Bose sub? If anything, I would replace the stock sub with an 8" free air under the package tray. You'd probably have a difficult time getting the bass you want out of the 6x9s for two reasons.
- No lower than 40hz frequency
- No real enclosure to put them in
I still would like to hear those sometime, they may work in my MR2.

No.
No.
You'd still have your audio ruined by the Bose amp's horrible EQ.
Save your money and ears and tap the pre-amp audio signals going into the Bose amp instead.
He's got the coupe, so it'd be a lot more modification to get an 8" free air on the deck than the 2 6x9's. But yeah, a 8" wouldn't be bad and take up little more room than one hooker's breast implant would use.

So after seeing this post,
https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...lled-pics.html
I want to put a little sub in like a 8 maybe a 10. I dont care for a portable earthquake, just enough bass.
Would this sub

driven by this amp
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_136J225...-J2-250-1.html
be sufficient in a box about half a cubic foot next to the spare tire like that guy had?
