Am I the only person w/o Bose system who wants subs?
Am I the only person w/o Bose system who wants subs?
I have an 03 g35 sedan 6mt, and i would like to add an amp and a sub, which I think i can do fine, I just am not sure how to hook up the LOC. Since it is not a Bose system ie no factory amp, where should I splice into the speaker wires for the LOC? Any ideas about wire coloring etc? Thanks for the help!
Answered the same question in PM, but for anybody else's reference:
For '04:
Best place would be at the back of the headunit, so you can run the signal down the center console.
If you have an Auto trans, no navigation system, and heated seats the *edit* REAR WIRES *edit* are black w/yellow stripe (Left -), Light green (left negative), black w/purple stripe (right -) and orange (right +)
Otherwise
Yellow, Brown, Purple, blue (same order of wires).

thanks for the quick response! I have a 6mt with no nav so would the second colors listed be the ones I am looking for. Also are they the same colors for the front and rear speakers? Do I need to tap into both front and rear? Thanks!
of course i am sure that means another LOC and an amp to power the speakers right...haha

Pictures are always helpful for those who follow.
Yep, you'll need another LOC, or, just do things right and replace the headunit when you add the amp and speakers.
